The number of matriculated students as of the four-year rate reported in August (after summer sessions). At the release of the 2018 Baseline Report, the Westchester County graduation rate was 89.6%.
By exploring these numbers, we hope to unveil the successes and challenges of getting students to graduate within a four-year time frame. In addition to the August graduation rate, we will also discuss:
If a four-year timeline is reasonable for the majority of students
The demographics of students who graduate in four years versus six years
Main factors impeding students from graduating within four years
Additional supports provided between June-August to ensure success for students matriculating in the summer session
GPS4Kids will collectively maintain the Westchester County graduation rate at or above 89%.
Actions & outcome progress:
The county graduation rate declined by 1.3% since the 2018 GPS4Kids Baseline Report.
While updating our interactive data tool, we identified some inconsistencies with the number totals in this data set.
We need to follow up regarding the inconsistencies between total district graduation rate and graduation rate by school in districts with only one school. It may be that graduates of alternative campuses are not included.
